  Ona Irene "Reenie"  Masters, 92, Independence, MO, died Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the Shangra La.   Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services following at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS.  Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Cancer Action Inc. 10520 Barkley #100 Overland Park, KS 66212.

     Reenie  was born October 11, 1925, in Kansas City, KS, and had been a lifelong area resident. She began working in 1979 for the Veterans Administration and later the EPA before retiring from the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Trust in 2009.  Reenie was a former member at London Heights Methodist Church and was currently attending Immanuel Baptist Church in Independence.  Reenie was a former Blue Bird Leader and volunteered for Cancer Action Inc.

She was preceded by her sister, Helen Eisman.  Reenie is survived by her son, David Paul Masters, daughter, Claudia Marie Masters, 2 grandsons, Billy Masters and David Masters, 3 great-granddaughters, Raven, Robyn and Foenix Masters, 3 great-grandsons, David, Nathaniel and Lucas, and niece, Deanna Ulmer.
