Sarah `Sally` Simonds Duncan , Age: 106
March 24, 1911 -- January 12, 2018

Sarah was born in Kansas City to Paul A. and Fanny Goodman Simonds and spent most of her life there. She graduated from Southwest High School and attended Illinois University for two years. In 1937 she married John F. Duncan. They had over 50 years together before he died of ALS in 1988. Sally will be remembered as a woman of faith and service to others by all who knew her. She was a woman of curiosity who loved nature and all of God's creation. Her family and friends have benefited so much from her knowledge of nutrition, her life of prayer and her wisdom. Her daughter Bonnie Duncan passed away in 2016. Sally is survived by her daughter Debby (and John) Walker of Mission, KS and her son John (and Ginger) Duncan of Bainbridge Island, WA. Her 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren have loved their Sally-Mom and are in awe of her 106 years. A memorial service will be Friday, January 19 at 10 am at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 6401 Wornall Ter., Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Freedom Fire Urban Ministries, P.O. box 270061, Kansas City, MO 64127.

Very Long time friend Overland Park , Kansas

It wont be the same knowing that our Sally is not there playing cards , putting puzzles together, and discussing her ideas with her friends. However , we know she will now have the answers to some of her questions about Heaven. I am positive that she is now gloriously happy. I hope that someday we can join her there and have a wonderful banquet. I am sorry I didn't know that Bonnie had passed away earlier. Much Love Dear Sally and God Speed. wanda and frank
