Baerbel E. Tipton, 76, Overland Park, KS, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family following the complications of Parkinson's disease. A visitation and Celebration of Baerbel's life will be from 2-5 p.m. Monday, January 8 at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to The Salvation Army. Baerbel was born October 30, 1941, in Spandau, Germany which is a part of Berlin. While working for the U.S. Military as a part of the Berlin Brigade she met Frank Tipton and they were married in Berlin in 1964. In 1965 she and Frank moved to Lansing Kansas and then shortly after that to the Kansas City area. Baerbel had worked for the Dodson Insurance Group for 25 years as a Workman's Comp Manager, retiring from the industry in 2004. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Baerbel is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frank, her son, Michael, grandson Bailey and a sister Brigetta Henning.

I’m sorry for your loss. May the scripture at revelation 21:4 bring you and your family comfort at this time. It says: “and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”. Very soon, in God’s new world, pain and death will cease to exist.
