Charles Robert "Bob" Lockett, 90, of Overland Park, KS, passed away December 7, 2017. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 AM with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM Monday, December 11, at Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Grandview Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.

Bob was born August 28, 1927, in Novelty, MO. He was a veteran serving in the US Army. Bob was a homebuilder with his father before working at Kuhlman Die Casting as an Engineer for 32 years. He was member, Trustee, Deacon and Head Usher for Grandview Baptist Church. He was a hunter, fisherman, and a member of the NRA. Bob loved helping people and was a true craftsman. He was preceded in death by his step daughter Linda Nixon, siblings; Mabel Simmons, Voncile Wester, and Louise Shouse. Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alta, two step daughters Cheryl (Doug) Fleming, Cathleen (John) Pierceall, two granddaughters Angela and Laura Pierceall, brother Frank (Virginia) Lockett, and many nieces and nephews. Bob will be greatly missed and was loved by all.
