Glenn Harlan DuBois , Age: 87
October 06, 1930 -- November 03, 2017

Glenn Harlan DuBois, 87, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2017. He was surrounded by family and love as he departed this world for a better place. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 on Friday, November 10 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st St. Overland Park, KS 66204. Glenn was born October 6, 1930 in Bucklin, Kansas as the youngest of six children, to Ernest Jacob and Anna Belle (Reigle) DuBois. He was a star basketball player on the local hometown team. He graduated from Wichita State University and later earned a Master’s degree from Webster University. He was a member of the US Air Force and spent 18 months serving in Panama. After his return from the service, he moved to Kansas City, MO and worked for the Federal Reserve Bank where he met his wife of 57 years Ann Beckmeyer. Together they had four children John (Vicki) DuBois, Marie A. DuBois, Irene DuBois, and Maureen (Steve) Hall, and eight grandchildren: Hannah, Mary Kate, Jack, Matthew, Tommy, Jamie, William and Annabel. Glenn had an enthusiasm and passion for life. While working at the Department of Agriculture as a personnel administrator he also devoted his time to the Kiwanis Club, Legion of Mary and the Knights of Columbus. An early devotee to the fitness craze, Glenn ran three marathons including the 17th New York City Marathon. He participated in the Biking Across Kansas twice and continued to run well into his sixties. After his retirement, he coordinated the Perpetual Adoration chapel at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overland Park, often leaving home in the early morning to cover prayer hours. He loved his wife, family, and numerous dogs. He was often seen walking his dogs and chatting with neighbors. Kind, loving, and generous, he will be missed by all. The family would like to thank Catholic Communities Hospice for their assistance and suggests donations to Sister Servants of Mary Ministers of the Sick, 800 North 18th Street, Kansas City, KS 66102.

John and family, I was very sorry to hear about your dad. I've known him since we were kids and always remember him as being one of the nicest men that I've ever met. My thoughts are with you. Jeff
