Judy Anne Hudson , Age: 53
October 14, 1963 -- August 06, 2017

Judy Anne Hudson, 53, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Friday, August 11th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 13615 W. 92nd Lenexa, KS 66215. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Wayside Waifs.  Judy was born October 14, 1963, in Kansas City, MO. She was a tomboy and loved to play softball, go to Royals games, and collect baseball cards. After she graduated from Hickman Mills High School, Judy lovingly cared for disabled children as an aide at Trails West State School for many years before she joined UPS as a sorter in 1995. However, Judy’s most important role was as “cool-aunt” to her 13 nieces and nephews, several of which were also her godchildren. She never lost her love of anything that interested them including online gaming, amusement parks, scary movies, and haunted houses. The other love of her life was her dog, Munchkin, and you could often find them walking together while playing Pokemon Go. Judy was an avid reader and loved music, especially anything by Garth Brooks. Three things that could make her smile were Snoopy, blue cheese potato salad, and KU basketball. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Rose Hudson and her brother Richard L. Hudson. She is survived by her siblings; William T. (Tina) Hudson, Brian T. Hudson, Bruce G. (Tracy) Hudson, Jan M. (Jeff) Clary and 13 nieces and nephews.

Judy (Cool Aunt as we knew her) will be missed by her online family (KoF). She was always a breath of fresh air as she conveyed loving messages about her nieces and nephews, as she shared stories of her work before UPS and with UPS, as she would be willing to help any of her fellow clan mates with activities and needs, and as she was just herself. She was always a delight when online and has many friends around this world. She really was a "Cool Aunt" for the near 200 members of our clan and she will be dearly missed by us all. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this time. *** KoF *** We raise our swords to the sky to honor Cool Aunt as her life quest has come to an unforseen end. But we do not dwell on the defeat as we know she fought a gallant fight through life with honor in all she did and conquered. We celebrate her accomplishments and know she is with the Gods. Thinking of you and the family during this most difficult time. My Dad always had a special place in his heart for Judy and those memories of them razzing each other at family gatherings makes me smile. Knowing those two are together with the rest of our family members that have gone before us should bring you peace. Wishing you much strength and love during this time.

It always brightened my day to log onto our little fantasy world of Runescape, and find "Cool Aunt", or Auntie as I called her, in our clan room. She would always be there with virtual hugs, smiles, and words of encouragement for each of us, and had some of the funniest stories! She will definitely be missed by us all. *huzzah auntie! You fought the good fight!"
