This world has lost a very kind and giving person. To Joann and Terri (whom I know the best) and the entire Dobbie/Rychlec family, our hearts go out to you. To me, your mother was a quiet, gentle pillar of the Cathedral parish for as long as I can remember, always there for others with a prayer and a smile. She took the expressway to heaven, I am sure. May God bless you all.

To the Dobbie and Rychlec Families- Sending you my most heartfelt sympathy on the death of your beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lorene was always so steady and looked darn near about the same for the over 60 years I knew her! She was such a strong and always-kind person: little did any of us know or realize how difficult life had to have been as a widow at age 31--with 5 young children! One of the last times I saw her, she shared a cute story about how she and my mom "commiserated" about being pregnant in their early 40s. I appreciated that memory. How blessed you were to have had such a strong and loving presence in your lives. I know you know that. Rest assured she is at peace now, continuing to send her love and strength from above. Fondly, Patrice (Burns) Ludwig

Deepest sympathy and heartfelt remembrance of Lorene. My dad will certainly be sadden to know she is gone now. The whole family at this end thinks of Ed and Lorene as patriarchs based on the many visits to California to visit my mom and dad who enjoyed many trips to San Francisco and beyond for Weddings, Anniversaries, and just to vacation. Beside Grandma Josephine they were our closest relatives on my dad’s side. They where all wonderful together and good people that had a great chemistry that was contagious, fascinating, and at times hilarious because they just had great fun and stories to share. We will certainly miss Lorene, but know along with my mom that they both are smiling down on us and will help us all through their continued prayers, as well as the great examples and memories they have provided.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a mother is hard. I still think of my mom every day. I often think back on the times when I was little and visiting with Uncle Edward and Aunt Lorene on the holidays. I know they are both with God and in his everlasting glory.
