Paul E. Sontheimer, 93, Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Glenwood Village.  Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass following at 10:00 a.m. on  Monday, March 29, at Church of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 8311 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, KS.  Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.  Memorial contributions may be made to: Parkinson's Foundation  Attn: Donor Services 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.

Paul was born May 27, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He served in the Navy during WWII and Korea. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Paul worked as a civil engineer for several companies including the Marley Cooling Tower Company.  Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Florence, his grandson, Nick, and his sisters and brothers M. Imelda Beattie, Virginia Adams, R. Jean Kociszewski, F. Raymond Sontheimer, Gerald Sontheimer, James Sontheimer, and Ralph Sontheimer.  Paul is survived by his children, Maribeth Sontheimer, Paul N. (Debra) Sontheimer, Dan (Stacy) Sontheimer, Terri Sontheimer and two grandchildren, Kate and Brian Sontheimer and  his sisters and brothers Geralda Wilmot, Adrian Sontheimer, and Kevin Sontheimer.
