William E. "Bill" Myers, 82, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 25, 2021 surrounded by his family. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, at Church of the Ascension, 9510 W. 127th St., Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Catholic Education Foundation, 12615 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS 66109.
Bill was born June 7, 1938, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Harry and Pauline Myers. He was a graduate of St. Agnes High School and St. Benedict's College. Bill married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Ferkenhoff in 1958.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pauline Myers, his brother, Father Robert Myers and infant son, Mark Michael Myers. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy, their four sons Tim (Shirley) Myers, Mike (Sheila) Myers, Steve (Ana) Myers, Gary (Mary Pat) Myers, and his daughter Barbara (Scott) Anderson, his two sisters Mary Ann (Ted) Ryan, Kathleen (Ken) Frederick, and his three brothers Ed Myers, Jim (Carolyn) Myers and Paul (Janet) Myers, his grandchildren Ashley, Kevin, Casey, Mason, Logan, Madeline, Katie, Claire, and his great grandchild, Olive.
An accomplished salesman, Bill founded Kreative Driveways in 1980. Bill had a love of boating on the Lake of the Ozarks, he was an avid soccer fan and coach, he loved to travel and loved music. He and Peggy were founding members of Church of the Holy Cross where he was a cantor and a member of the choir. Bill was a member of Church of the Ascension and the Serra Club of Kansas City in Kansas.
