Kennedy Rose Bowen, "Biscuits' was born on Sept 28th, 2019 and from that day forward she would prove to be an amazing example of courage, strength and joy to all who had the privilege to know her or to know of her. At two months of age she began to have recurrent fevers and difficulty with feedings. After 6 weeks of numerous and prolonged hospitalizations and unpleasant tests she was diagnosed with a rare, unrelenting, neurodegenerative disease, Vici Syndrome. Kennedy was a true Vici warrior in the short time here with us. She definitely earned the #ToughBiscuits.
While her tiny little frame would never roll, crawl, take a step or utter a word, and while she would never see, she found her way in life through her hearing, sense of touch and an invincible spirit. She was a lover of Moana, all things Unicorn and her favorite dolly Molly the Mermaid, given to her by her loving daddy. She also loved her English pram carriage rides outside, doing her physical therapy, taking baths, tickles from her daddy, Molly stories from her mommy, Biskeylocks and the 3 Bears story from her Grazyma and soothing massages from Grandma Sharon. She loved getting her hair done by her Godmother Aunt Brit, even her first birthday punked out pink hair do . She was a busy body when people would come over and she was trying to sort all the voices out. She had a play list many would be envious of and especially enjoyed the Beatles, her favorite being Blackbird, which she insisted be played on repeat. Despite her discomfort at times and all the challenges she had whenever she would hear this song it would soothe her. So to her daddy's beloved Biscuits and her mommy's beloved Squishey one more time....
Blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these weakened eyes and learn to see
All your life You were only waiting for this moment to be free
Be free and at peace Sweet Biscuits. We love you for eternity Your forever mommy and daddy.
