Mar 12, 1978---Jan 12, 2021

Our beloved, Jonathan Michael Tucker, of Kansas City, MO was born March 12, 1978, entered into rest on January 12, 2021.  Jonathan spent his early childhood in Overland, Park, KS then moved to Buffalo, NY where he grew up through his teenage years.  He enjoyed bowling, playing in the snow and video games.  He loved the thrill of roller coasters and was a coaster enthusiast!  Then moved to Tulsa, OK for a few years before returning to Overland Park, KS. In 1998.

Jonathan leaves behind his very loving mother Sue, two brothers Nathan and Lyle, and sister Cristina.  Jonathan also adopted two super friendly, rambunctious dogs Jake and Maggie who loved their dog dad very much, along with his feisty cat Mia.

Jonathan had such a loving heart with a contagious laugh and smile.  He also had a huge love for his family!  He was so thoughtful, kind and caring in so many ways and was always ready to help anyone that needed help.

From early on, Jon had a strong love for music and 1980’s movies including Grateful Dead, Airplane and Caddyshack.  He often quoted movies, always trying to laugh and have a good time.  Also, sports were important to him especially KC Chiefs, Royals and KU basketball.  Rock Chalk!

Jonathan has been in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, most recently working at the Bristol where he was employed for the past fifteen plus years and where he met a lot of good friends.

He will always be remembered as a wonderful son, a terrific brother and a great friend – you will be so be missed!

Love you forever Jon!

The family family will have a Celebration of Life and gathering of family and friends, Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS 66215.

Sue and Cristina- There are no words that I can offer to help ease the pain and loss for you at this time. I am so saddened to learn of the loss of Jon, and can only send my love to both of you. Your family meant so much to me when we were together in Buffalo, and Jon brought me in to your family, where you and your home felt like an extension of home for me, Randy and Melanie. Jon was so easy going and fun with his love of music, movies and amusement parks. I know how much he will be missed. Fly high Jon.
