I just wanted you to know how sad I am to learn of Jane’s passing. I knew her at Santa Marta in assisted living. I have seen her in skilled care but not since the lockdown. I know she is in a better place but we still miss her.

I had the privilege of meeting Jane 15 years ago. We met at book club while she was still living at Four Colonies. She was a delight to be around. When it was time for her to move to Santa Marta, she embraced the opportunity for a new adventure. She loved living there. Jane and I also played in a bridge club and often went to JOCO to play. Wherever she went she found friends who enjoyed her company. Even though I was much younger than Jane, I was always amazed by her energy, going out to eat with the Red Hat Ladies and taking advantage of any adventure to come her way. One summer day I ran into Jane at the doctors office and she insisted I come to Santa Marta and have lunch with her. We sat on the patio and chatted like two teenagers. She was young at heart and found common ground with all people. I just picture Jane making her way around heaven starting a whole new adventure. I will miss my dear friend.

I know Glen and Jane from years ago. Glen was a faithful volunteer at the Food Kitchen. Jane was a generous supporter of Catholic Charities. For several years she "bought" a table for Catholic Charities Soup Luncheon and invited us volunteers as her guest. Jane was a good sport at Book Club. Loved to tease her about a "favorite" author, Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Rest in peace, Jane.

Jane was a joy to be around. She had a great sense of humor and outgoing personality. She enriched my life by her love for life.

I was sorry to hear of Ms. Roewe’s passing. She always greeted me with a bright dazzling smile; like I was the best thing she had seen that day! I will miss her, and her lively spirit!

My Mom Katy Zahner loved your mother. They used to joke and make each other laugh at Santa Marta. Jane was so kind to my Mom after my Mom had a stroke a few years ago and she didn't remember things like she used to. Jane took her under her wing. I am glad she is at peace.

I met your mom at Santa Marta. She was one of my mom’s, Katy Zahner, dear friends. I always looked forward to her beautiful smile and quick wit when I came to visit. When my mom had her stroke, your mom was a strong influence in her recovery-encouraging her and making light of their life’s journey. Jane will be greatly missed. My prayers are with her family.

Linda, We have no doubt your mother knew how much you loved her! You always took such good care of her, doing whatever you could to make her life comfortable, while she was at Santa Marta. She is now at peace, after having lived a full and wonderful life and being blessed to have you, as one of her children. Love, Colleen & Rod Annan
