Jonanne Rose, 81, Kansas City, KS, died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the home. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 9, at the Porter Funeral Home 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to White Church Christian Church or the Order of DeMolay.
Jonanne was born December 28, 1939, in Emporia KS and had lived most of her life in Kansas City, KS. She had been a teacher at Whittier Elementary School before retiring to raise her son. Jonanne was a member of White Church Christian Church, Sherman Chapter #8 of the Order of Eastern Star, was a Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile and was twice a Past President of the Mother's Club of the Delaware Chapter of the Order of DeMolay. She was preceded in death by her son David John Rose in 1997. Jonanne is survived by her husband of 59 years, David G. Rose, and a foster son Marvin Fletcher and his fiancé Rebecca Mock and 3 grandchildren, Sara, David and Heather.
