Michael Peacher, 76, died on Sunday, November 22nd 2020, at his home in Lenexa Kansas.
Michael was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 18, 1944. He graduated from Bishop Hogan high school in 1963. On December 6th, 1980 he married Marsha Gelwix and they enjoyed a 40 year love affair, together they shared a blended family of five children. Michael was known to be a hard worker and retired after 32 years as the building superintendent at Quivira Medical Plaza. His family and friends will remember him as an avid Chiefs fan, gardener, and someone that never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife Marsha, two sisters, Judy Carlene Behling and Sylvia Brown (Tony), and three of his five children; Kimberly Peacher, Anna McCoy (Fred), Chad Peacher (Jackie), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by, his father Carl Peacher, mother Julia Peacher (Hillen), two children, Esther Peacher-Reese and Michael Peacher ll, and grandson Matthew Crawford.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia Lenexa, Kansas 66215. Father Travis Mecum officiating. For those unable to attend in person, there will be an online link that will stream the Video Tribute and Visitation, starting at 10:00 am. It will be posted here closer to the service day.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to Kansas City Hospice House.
