MARY ANN TANK MARKOVICH, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on September 29, 2020.  Having grown up in Kansas City, she lived here her entire life.  She was married to George Saidy until his death in 1972.  In 1977 she was married to John Markovich.  She was preceded in death both by George and John and her father James Tank Sr., her mother, Florence Regan Tank, and her brothers James Jr. & G. Peter Tank. A faithful Catholic she regularly attended Mass at Church of the Ascension. During her life she served as receptionist/secretary for Dr. E.J. Schulte, Data Control Inc. and Schmidt & Carrico Accounting.   She is survived by her brothers John Tank and Rev Thomas Tank of Overland Park and her sister Judy (Joe) Holgerson of Littleton Colorado and many nieces and nephews.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21st, with rosary preceding at 9:45.  Livestreaming at kcascension.org.

Peter’s classmate and friends ,Overland Park ,Kansas

We didn’t know until today that Mary Ann had passed. We became friends during the time that she took care of Pete. We’ve thought about her several times since Pete passed. Mary Ann was one of the sweetest and kindest persons that we have ever known. She will certainly be missed by many family and friends.
