Aunt Fran is my Godmother... I know we didn’t get to see her very often, but I certainly remember the times when we were together...and the laughter, joking and good times we shared. I remember Fran’s great talent for acting and doing plays with Vicky...I loved seeing all of the pictures of her on stage in her many costumes, and playing so many different roles and characters over the years! I remember Fran’s quick wit, funny expressions, and the great amount of spirit, vigor, and strength that was packed into her tiny little “self!” I also remember not feeling so short when I was standing next to her! I remember her love for her family and for her brothers and sister. I also remember hearing stories about how she helped take care of my Dad when they were growing up. But even more so, ever since I was little, I remember my Mom saying how much I reminded her of Aunt Fran - especially when I would give a certain look, or say something funny, or express my excitement about being in a play or musical at school! My Mom and Dad chose the perfect person to be my Godmother! I am truly honored to be her Goddaughter...I like to believe we are kindred spirits! Her presence will be missed in our family and in this world. I am grateful that she is not suffering any longer. I will think of her and smile.
