Michael Joseph Mitchell, Age: 85

November 14, 1934 - September 12, 2020

Michael Mitchell, 85, passed away September 12, 2020. Son of Robert and Rose, he married and is survived by the love of his life for 64 years, Joan Marie, daughter Lynn Killeen and husband Richard, sons Michael and wife Laurie, Terry and wife Karen, Mark and wife Melissa.  He is also survived by his sister Patricia and husband Dr. Tony Scardino.  Grandchildren: Tricia, Kelly, Hannah, Parker, Hunter, Ezri, Zach, and Kortney. Great-grandchildren: Natalie, Hannah, Freya, Luka, Jax, Khloe Jo and Tatum.

A graduate of St. Ambrose College, Davenport, Iowa in 1956, he retired from his sales marketing career and was currently living in Olathe, Kansas.  He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

It was with the deepest sadness that he mourned the loss of his grandson, Nick. They are together in heaven now and look over his many loved ones.  

Private family services will be held.

Dearest Aunt Joan, Cousins Mike, Lynnie, Terry and Mark, We are so very sorry for the tremendous loss of Uncle Mike!! He was such a wonderful brother to our Mom, your Aunt Pat. He always teased her and called her “Baby Sister” We heard countless stories of the shenanigans of their childhood in their beloved,Joliet, Illinois. He will truly be missed!!!
