Donna Marie (Rall) Ellebrecht was born in St Louis, Missouri on October 9th 1951. She was the third child of Melvin and Anna (Kuturovac) Rall. She graduated from Bayless High School and attended Meramec Junior College. She was working for Missouri Pacific Railroad when she met and married Alan Ellebrecht on August 2nd 1974.
Alan's job with IBM moved them around the country. They moved to Seattle, WA where their first child was born, Stacey (Ellebrecht) Roth. Next, was Sioux Falls South Dakota where their second daughter Lindsay (Ellebrecht) Schnichels was born. Then they moved back to St Louis where their son, Andrew Ellebrecht was born. Finally, they moved to Kansas City in 1986, where they remained ever since.
Donna was an Executive Administrative Assistant for many years at Coca-Cola, Applebee's, and KPMG. She was very involved in church organizations and loved to play cards.
Donna had a love for life, travel, and serving other people. Her ever present smile and easy going personality put everyone at ease. She was a hugger even if you just met her! Her family was important to her and she was extremely proud of all her grandchildren.
Alan and Donna valued their friends and fellowship that for 25 years they hosted a New Year's Day party at their house. Donna made her famous meatballs and she looked forward to this event every year.
Donna is survived by her husband Alan, brother David Rall (Mae), sister Patti (Rall) Van Alstine (Bill), sisters and brother in law Judi and Ken Street, and Janet Ellebrecht (Paloma), her children, daughter, Stacey and Tyler Roth and children Eli, Alaina, and Luke, daughter, Lindsay and Paul Schnichels and children Will and Hattie, son, Andrew Ellebrecht and many nieces and nephews and cousins and a bonus granddaughter Abbi Ebel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 11, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 West 103rd Street, Overland Park, KS 66214.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 Friday, prior to the service, at the church.
Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
