Frank M. Pippin, 81, Fairway, KS, died June, 28. Visitation at 2 p.m. with Funeral services at 3 p.m. on Wed. July 1, at the Porter Funeral Home, K.C., KS. Private burial at the National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
Frank was born to Frank and Caroline (Elizabeth Clark) Pippin on June 27, 1939 and was raised in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Washington High School and joined the United States Navy in 1957 and honorably discharged in 1963. He worked for AT&T and was a member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) officially retiring in 2005 but continued to work contract until just a few years ago. He was a past member and usher at the John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Kansas. He was married to Rose Marie (Darling) Pippin in 1970 until her death in 1986. They had moved to Fairway, Kansas where Frank continued to reside, remarrying to Fanzhen (Jane) Meng until his death. Frank enjoyed working on home projects, cars as well as working on and riding his vintage Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, wife Rose Marie, sister Caroline Jean Pippin, and stepson Donald (Butch) G. Ussery Jr. He is survived by his wife Jane and stepchildren Edna Delcoure, Tacy Keller, William (Bill) Ussery, Donna Reed, and Jeanne Bramwell as well as 15 step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.
