Joyce Hallisey Minor (Joy), 79, passed peacefully from this world on June 17, 2020. Joy was born to Michael and Mary Hallisey on October 14, 1940 in Lenexa, KS. Joy truly embodied her name through her sense of humor and quick wit. She loved to create and explore, she was a: world traveler, calligrapher, crafter, gardener, and so much more. She loved to take walks and read books, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Minor, and her brothers, Robert and Michael Hallisey. She leaves behind a family that will miss her dearly, including: her sister, Nancy Wilson (Jim), her daughter, Susan Adams (Dennis), her son, David Gearhart (Tammy) and her grandchildren: Jason, Amber, Andrea, Michael, Ana, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 20^th at 4pm at CenterPointe Community Church 401 N 78^th St. Kansas City, KS 66112. Arrangements: Porter Funeral Homes.
