Anne F Horan, 95, of Shawnee, KS passed away the early morning hours on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Garden Terrace at Overland Park. 
Anne was born July 28, 1924 in Kansas City, KS. to Frank and Mary Viscek.
After many years as a stay at home mom, she used her talents as a seamstress for Artco Casket Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years John J. Horan in 2008. Also her parents, sister Mary Wolf, brothers Frank, Louie, Charles, Bernard and Brother Gregory Viscek OSB.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters Kathleen (Phil) Hirt of Shawnee, KS and Maureen (Paul) Webb of Lynchburg, VA.  Grandchildren Mathew Phillip Hirt III of Goodyear, AZ. Eric (Melanie) Hirt of Lawrence, KS, Dr. Kelly Barikmo (Kris), Kristy, Kevin, Kaitlyn Hirt Martinez(Phillip)of Arvada , CO and Kyle (Elizabeth) Hirt and her great grandchildren Kaleb, Kiley and Konnor Barikmo,  Jackson Hirt and Kolbe Hirt.  Along with her sisters Margaret Racki and Theresa Wohletz.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association Heart of America Chapter.
The family would like to thank the staff of Garden Terrace for their compassionate care these last 7 years.
A private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

My sister Diane Sappenfiield and Ann were roommates a number of years at Garden Terrace ,Overland Park ,Kansas

Anne was a wonderful lady and my sister who was her roommate at Garden Terrace enjoyed her company for a number of years.Bless Anne's family and know my heart and prayers are with you at this time. She was loved and taken good care of at Garden Terrace.

So sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She was such a nice lady. Anne was a good friend of my mom, Bernice Resovich, (who passed at Garden Terrace in 2012). They would talk for hours whenever they got together. Our sincere condolences to all the family. May Anne rest in peace.

Kathy and family, So sorry about the loss of your mom/gma, but I bet she is so beyond happy. What a difficult time to lay her to rest. Dear Kathy & Phil, I am sorry to hear about your Mom, but I know what you went through in these last few years with our Mom’s together in their place, it is so hard to lose them, but we know they are happier now. My brother Phil insisted he stay the night with Mom, she had a great day. Visiting with family & she passed away early the next morning. I was sorry to lose Mom, but I looked at it she left her one son Phil here and went to be with her other son Donnie who we lost in 1981. Dad, her Mom & a lot of family!
