I remember the first time I met Dave or Star ⭐️ as they called him in those days we were at a Pizza Shop close to NAS. He was in the Navy stationed in Meridian. I was on a date and he knew the guy I was out with and he was playing pool and walked over and told that guy that I should be with him and we all laughed. All during the night he kept coMing over and saying funny things. Years on down the road when everyone had a song I told him we needed a song and he said we already had one and I said what is it and he said the first night I saw you the Eagles were playing Witchly Woman and that’s our song. You put a spell on me. 😂😂😂😂I don’t know how he came up with all that stuff however yes he loved to make people laugh just as my girls and grandsons do. It’s a great gift 🎁 I think I will utube our song now in memory of Dave. RIP Crazy man and I will see you again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️Wish I knew who gave you that nickname.

Brandi and Courtney I am so sorry about your dad. I always liked him and he could make anyone laugh. The last time I saw him was at a wedding reception before he moved from here. He had everyone in stitches. Have nothing but good memories of him from when he first met your mom and we all hung around together. God bless you both and I will keep you in my prayers. Love to you both Patti

Uncle ,Meridian ,Mississippi

Well where do I start. He was an amazing Uncle to me. I use to look forward everytime I got a chance to visit my cousins and I knew there would always be a fun activity of some sort planned. He would play basketball with us til dark. He would play woofle ball in the front yard for hours at a time. He would Let me ride the go cart which I loved too. He even took me on my first hunting trip. Then he got on to me because my whisper was to loud in the shoot house and I toted the gun in wrong into the woods. He would take me knee boarding at okatibee lake, and then joke after I fell off to watch out for the gators. at Christmas time I always knew that Uncle Dave would have a great firework shows he would bring every year because he knew we looked so forward to those times. Even if one time he bought the biggest one he ever saw and it wouldn’t go off he would just joke and say well I could only imagine what it would have looked like, and then of course he would turn and give us that silly laugh that reminded me so much of Chevy Chases. I know he had a big influence on my life growing up and an even bigger spot in my heart. I will forever miss You Uncle Dave you was an amazing Uncle to me and I know you are with Maw Maw now smiling down. We will meet again one day. Love you always Tommy.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Dave. He was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet! From the first day we moved in he was there to help, and welcome us to the block. He delighted us with stories and listened to music with us for hours. Dave became so much more than a neighbor, he became a great friend. He will truly be missed.

We never had the pleasure of meeting Dave but hearing stories and knowing my daughter in law and Courtney. I can see what kind of man he was. He was a good Father to them and his influence was a good one. We are so very blessed to have Brandy in our lives. I know as a parent it must have been such a gift to have you girls here by his side. Our hearts go out to you. Sending you lots of love and hugs. Bev and James

Dave was one of the older guys in the neighborhood where we grew up. When we watched Dave and the other older guys play football, baseball or basketball, it was like they were pros, bigger than life. I didn't have the pleasure to be around Dave in adulthood, but from reading other condolences, sounds like I missed a lot of fun and a great husband, dad, brother, uncle, friend, grandfather and great grandfather. Rest in peace, friend.
