Daniel Q. Avila, 89, passed away peacefully in his home on February 12, 2020. He is survived by his wife Marcella Avila, 3 stepchildren, Larry and Elizabeth Contreras and Sophia Rodriguez, 4 brothers, Manueal, Gilbert, Louis and Larry Avila and 1 sister; Angela Adriano, 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert G. Avila and mother, Maria Q. Avila, sister, Matilda Avila, brothers, Lorenza and Joseph Avila. Daniel attended St. Agnes High School and went on to serve our country in the Army. He was honored as a U.S. Veteran. He worked at and retired from the Santa Fe Railroad.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS. 66102
