Donald Jerome Ellington, 91, passed away on February 9, 2020. Donald joined his beloved wife Mary, and leaves behind five children, Daniel Ellington, Mark Ellington, Bryan Ellington, Laurie Chaudhury and Lisa Ellington. He also leaves behind nie grandchildren, Jessica Ladish, Aubrey Ayre, Holly Whitney, Christina Hiatt, Rebecca Ellington, Sean Ellington, Isabella Ellington, Tristin Chaudhury and Hannah Chaudhury. He was a great husband, Dad, and Grandpa, and an inspiration to all. He traveled the world and told many stories about his life adventures. He had many talents. A great sense of humor always making people laugh. Golf was one of his favorites and he challenged everyone he played. Listening to music was one of his past times and he could play the piano and was a beautiful artist. He was unstoppable at any board game. He was always known as the scrabble champ. Croquet, jarts, chess, just to name a few. He loved his fishing and hunting trips with his family. He left a beautiful legacy behind and his family will carry and cherish his memories and life lessons forever! We love you Dad/Grandpa forever and always.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Porter Funeral Home, Lenexa, KS. Family will meet friends from 12:00 to 1:00 and services will be held at 1:00. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, KS. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
