Theodore (Ted) Harris Dahl peacefully passed away on January 18, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas.  Ted was born in Pembina, North Dakota, the son of the late Theodore G. Dahl and Pauline Harris Dahl. He is survived by his son, Ted G. Dahl of Lebanon, Missouri; his daughter, Paulette Baber (Paul) of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Brian Dahl (Barbara), Carrie Plassmeyer (Jared), and Madison Kay Baber; four great grandchildren; and brother, Conrad J. Dahl. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Theodora Carpenter.  Ted was born in Pembina, North Dakota, and grew up in Wheaton, Illinois. His summers, however, were spent in Kennedy, Minnesota, where he enjoyed working the wheat fields on the family farm with his many cousins. Ted was a member of the Army Air Corps from 1943-1946. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1949 and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. In 1954 Ted and his young family settled in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was a small business owner and builder in south Kansas City, Missouri, for many years.   Ted was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be missed greatly. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am with a visitation preceding at 10:30am on February 29, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 West 62nd Street, Mission, Kansas 66202, with interment following at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery, 806 SE 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64063.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Foundation.
