David K. Frey, 81, Basehor, KS, passed away January 15, 2020 at the Olathe Hospice House.  Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa,  KS  with the visitation  from 12 noon-1p.m. In  lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Olathe Hospice or Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas.

    David was born in Quincy, Illinois and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He had served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seebee and then worked as a mechanic at Caterpillar and the TWA Overhaul Base at Kansas City International Airport retiring in 2001. David was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor, KS and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lorraine Frey and is survived by his children, Steve Frey, Julie Jaklevic and her husband Jim, grandchildren, Michael and Joan Jaklevic, the mother of his children, Judy Frey, sister, Sandy Casburn and her husband Bob, brothers, Eric Frey, Bruce Frey and his wife, Julie and numerous nieces and nephews.
