As long time parishioners of Holy Trinity, we have a long time love and admiration of Fr Tom! He was a wonderfully holy priest, with a realness about him that was so very rare. I will never forget his compassion to me when my 46 year old brother brother died an untimely death. He con celebrated at my father , mother and brother’s funeral and they were not at Holy Trinity!!! We will miss him dearly. He is out of pain and resting in the loving arms of our Father in Heaven. Rest in Peace Fr Tom Sheila and Michael Berry

My family and I have always felt blessed to have known Fr. Tom. We always considered him a big "Friar Tuck" of a man who needed a big frame to carry around that big heart of his. One of the things I always loved about Fr. Tom is that he laughed at his own imperfections and mistakes; he never felt a need to be perfect, even as he strove to be as spiritually perfect as possible. I'm grateful he was the pastor at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish for 10 years, then returned to the parish as pastor emeritus last year. While it hurts to say goodbye, we also rejoice in life he now will live eternally in Heaven and his voice, his laugh and his insights will continue to live in our hearts and minds until we meet again.

Fr. Tom worked tirelessly for others. It was a blessing to have him as our pastor during our early married years. I especially appreciated my time with him on the Stewardship committee at Holy Trinity. Even when he was in physical pain or tired from the many burdens that come with leading a large parish he always found time to engage the many children of the parish and to seek to know the names of the families. The world needs more priests like Fr. Tom. May he rest in the peace of Christ forever. Gary and Molly Pratt

There is no doubt that Fr Tom will be missed by all. There are so many memories: One whole year Fr Tom recited the Anima Christi after daily Mass. It was a prayer I would not have memorized but thanks to Fr Tom now it is one of my most beloved daily prayers. He was a great priest with down to earth advice offered humbly. He was also a great patriot who loved his country and always took time to offer up prayers for the military, police, firemen and first responders. Fr Tom also reminded us to offer up an intention before Mass. This reminder made Mass very personal to me. Thank you Fr Tom for your priesthood and sacrifice. May you Rest In Peace.

Father Tom was a great servant and Priest over Holy Trinity for many years along with some time at Holy Spirit. I always appreciated his leadership within the church. He also had been very good about extending his time on questions and concerns within the diocese. i have thanked him in person a number of times for serving over our kids baptisms, First Communions, Confession, etc. He will be greatly missed by our family.

I met Father Tom when he first came to St Malachy he was a kind and loving soul. 19 yrs ago Father Tom officiated over my Mom's Funeral service. My Mom was one of the first people he met when coming to Beattie (she cleaned the Parish house). He spoke so kindly of that 1st meeting with her. Mom worked for 18yrs cleaning rooms for the railroad and as he was concluding her graveside service you could here the Union Pacific train making it's run through town, Father Tom paused then mentioned Mom's time with the Railroad and said go in peace Mary the Union Pacific bids you farewell and thank you. Those words so touched my heart. Godspeed Father Tom may you Rest In Peace.

Father Tom was a colleague in ministry, but more than that a great friend. I will miss our occasional lunches, his great common sense, and most all, his Christian witness to me and others in our circle of friends. He loved Jesus and faithfully served Him. Blessings to his family and to the congregations he loved and who loved him.

When Father Tom was at Beattie Kansas he was a sparkle in the community. It did not make any difference what your church affliation was if any one in the community was sick or hurting he would have a prayer for them. He made himself a part of the community and was a friend to many. Rest in peace Father Tom

Father Tom is already missed! He was such a genuine, loving man and priest. His great, yet humble faith was evident in every moment. He was truly an inspiration for our family. It is a wonderful thought that God called him home on Mary's feast day and I picture both of his mothers meeting him at the gates to welcome him home with joyful embraces. I know he was looking forward to celebrating the anniversary of his ordination, but how blessed is it that he gets to celebrate that in even closer communion with the One who inspired his service. Father Tom - we thank you for your continued example and inspiration and we thank God for sending you to us, knowing that you were truly needed.
