I met Gene many years ago. We continued to see each other from time to time and became friendly. Most often these occasions were at dances and mixers. He loved to dance. He also always had a smile on his face and provided a warm greeting. The ladies will miss such a willing dance partner. And I will miss his good cheer.

I will truly miss my dear friend, Gene. He was a warm, friendly, outgoing guy that just happened to be a very good dancer. Gene was always the life of the party and welcomed everyone with that big smile of his. God gave him the gift of telling jokes so where Gene was there was lots of laughter. He was my joke teller, my dance partner, my friend and my prayer buddy. For many years Gene, our mutual friend, Bob Cooley, and I celebrated birthdays, Valentines Day, St Patrick’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas together. I thanked God many times for blessing me with such a wonderful friend. Today, I thank God for all those years of fun and happy times with Gene. I have lots and lots of wonderful memories. I have learned that memories are special gifts from God that live in our hearts forever and with the passage of time, become more precious than gold. My deepest condolences to Vern, Colleen and Maureen.
