Benjamin Lee McCown, 41, Lenexa, KS, passed away September 4, 2019. An open visitation will be held Tuesday, September 10th, 9 a.m.- 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia St., Lenexa, KS.  A second visitation will be held from 6 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10th at the Roper & Sons Funeral Home South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr., Lincoln, NE.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 11th at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneer's Blvd, Lincoln, NE.  Burial to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Lincoln, NE.

Ben was born January 30, 1978 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Mary and Gary McCown. Ben was a graduate of Lincoln East High School and went on to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he was active in Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Ben married Stacie Leigh Andersen August 23, 2003 in Lincoln and they have three boys - Noah (13), Nyles (9) and Deklen (6).

Ben and his family moved to Missouri in 2006 and to Lenexa in 2015. Ben had a successful career in construction management having worked and managed large projects for JE Dunn, United Excel, and most recently served as the Director of Construction for Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Ben was an avid golfer, passionate Husker football fan, and loved watching his boys play soccer.

Ben is survived by his wife Stacie, sons Noah, Nyles, and Deklen, parents Mary and Gary McCown, brother Jason McCown and sister-in-law Faith, grandfather John Boosalis, grandmother Betty McCown, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
