     Vincent E. Kennedy, 93, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019.  A Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 PM followed by visitation until 7:00 PM Friday, September 6, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be 9:00 AM Saturday, September 7, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd Kansas City, KS 66104.  Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Christ The King Catholic Church.

     Vince was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, KS graduating from Wyandotte High School.  He was a bookbinder for 39 years, retiring from ER Callender Printing Company in 1989. Vince was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Marian Council of the Knights of Columbus and the Bookbinders Union Local M32. Vince was a sports fan, especially KU Jayhawk Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.  He loved taking care of his lawn. He was known around town as he never met a stranger. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Mary (Sullivan) Kennedy, 4 brothers Jerry Kennedy, Dennis Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, John Kennedy, 3 sisters Eleanor Cutbirth, Margaret Wilson, Rosemary Michalski, son-in-laws Charlie Bradshaw and Steve Currie. Vince is survived by his wife of 69 years, Patricia Kennedy, 3 daughters; Bev Bradshaw, Peggy Kennedy, Kathy Currie (Mark Shuck), 2 grandchildren Emma (John) Worley and Sam Currie, and many extended family and friends.

I worked in CTK’s office for many years. This picture brought such a smile to my face. It depicts Vince on Monday mornings when he would bring their envelopes to the office. He would always say he knew we needed the money and he wanted to be sure it got to us. What a delightful man...I know he’s dealing those angels a fit!
