Ed was born April 16, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Edward Carl Milberger and Naomi Duncan Milberger. Ed graduated from Wyandotte High School where he excelled in athletics and having fun.
Ed was the owner of Ed Milberger Pest Control. From an early age, Ed would be his dad’s shadow, learning the art of killing bugs. When his dad semi-retired, it was with great pride that he turned ownership over to him. Ed’s hard work, along with his dedication and loyalty to his customers, proved to be the foundation needed to ensure continued growth and success year after year.
Over the years Ed ventured into the real estate world. He bought and sold several commercial properties. As with the pride he had with his pest control business, he was a landlord that valued his tenants and celebrated their successes.
Ed’s personality was as big as his stature. When Ed walked into the room, you immediately felt his presence. He was always ready for a good time whether it was a family get-together, meeting his buddies for their weekly outings, enjoying a refreshing libation, having a good cigar, singing karaoke, or just telling a story - you can be sure he was in his element. Ed was blessed with countless family and friends who truly enjoyed his company, as he did theirs. He loved life and he lived it with such enthusiasm and energy. The world won’t be as bright without Ed in it.
Ed had such passion for Martial Arts. He earned and was set to receive his black belt in karate. It meant so much to him. Unfortunately, his health prevented this ceremony to take place. We are delighted Ed will posthumously receive this recognition and great honor.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents. Grieving his death are his survivors: his son, Edward Carl Milberger III, his daughter, Ashley Grable Milberger; his sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Daniel Trehey, his sister, Diane Voiles; his niece and nephews, Sheri Lynn Seeman, Daniel Trehey IV and Michael Trehey; the mother of his children, Dodi Leonard, as well as, great nephews, extended family and countless friends.
If you would like to make a donation in Ed’s name, we suggest contributions to the American Cancer Society.
