Dolores Joan Chavers ("Meme"), 89, Leawood, KS was called home to the Lord on August 28, 2019. The rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Tuesday, September 3rd at Cure of Ars located at 9405 Mission Rd., Leawood, KS. There will be a visitation until 10:30 AM with funeral Mass following. Burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS.

Dolores was born September 28, 1929 in Kansas City, MO to Charles and Marie Culver and was the oldest of three children. She was raised in Shawnee, KS. She attended St. Joseph Catholic grade school and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. 

Dolores was a devoted, cherished, loving wife and mother. She always had a welcoming smile and created a nurturing home for her family. Dolores exuded love, patience and humility to all she came in contact with. She loved to cook and was very skilled at it. Her creations were legendary and not to be missed. She loved to travel with her family, specially to Hawaii. Her trip to the Holy Land was a lifelong dream and the experience touched her soul. Her faith was the center of her life, and would strengthen and sustain her all her days.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband Curtis Chavers, brother Jerry Culver and sister-in-law Barbara Culver. Dolores leaves behind a sister, Rita Culver of Overland Park, four children, Diane Carreon of Leawood, KS, Paula (Bill) Pollard, Independence, MO, Debbie (Mark) Lipford of Leawood, KS, and Michael (Jenny) Chavers of Stover, MO. She also leaves behind five Grandchildren, Christopher Curley of Overland Park, Julian (Christine) Dillard, Kansas City, MO, Rachel Lipford, St. Petersburg, FL, Michael Lipford, Leawood, KS, and Charles Lipford, Mission, KS.

· Dolores was a lifelong member of Cure of Ars Catholic Church. The family requests memorial contributions to Cure of Ars Catholic Church.
