It is with great sorrow we are announcing the passing of David Stephen Mitchell on 31 July 2019.  Born 12 August 1941 to the parents Rosemary and William Mitchell, he is one of four sons. At the tender age of 26 he married Marian on 15 July 1967 and had a son Stephen Mitchell.  While his first marriage ended amicably, by fate he found and married his best friend Roxanne 17 August 1973.  His son and daughter in-law Lynette have blessed him with two beautiful girls Rebecca and Kristina.  David is survived by his wife Roxanne, son Stephen, brothers Robert and Richard and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother William.

David enlisted in the Air Force August 1959 as a Security Police Officer serving honorably until August 1965.  He went on to Rockhurst College for Bachelor of Science in Business Administration May 1966, gaining his CPA 7 June 1972.  He started his accounting career at Troupe Kehoe, Whitaker and Kent, moving to Coors Distributor John Ward, finishing at Deffenbaugh Industries, Inc in the mid ‘90s.  David was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hikes with his brother Bobby in Glacier, Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Yellowstone national parks to name a few. He also enjoyed collecting, and firing handguns, and had an extensive collection. He was an aircraft and military equipment enthusiast, and enjoyed military, and world history.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
