     Maxine F. Lee, 95, of Lenexa, KS, died Friday, July 12, 2019. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 followed by a Funeral Services at 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 17, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS.  Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude's Hospital or Community of Christ, (Bethel Congregation).

     Maxine was born October 23, 1923, in Kansas City, KS, the 5th of 12 to David and Milly Miller.   She was active in church and volunteering.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, needle craft, traveling and gardening.  Maxine was preceded in death by her husband John W. Lee and all of her siblings.  She is survived by two children; John W. (Theresa) Lee, II, Belton, MO, Cathy (Jim) Owens, St. Louis, MO, four grandchildren; John J. Lee, Melissa Lee, Sarah Ann (Jeremy) Counsell, Jamie Lee Owens, 3 great grandchildren; Payton, Joseph, Elizabeth Counsell and many extended family and friends.
