Geneva Chase (84) of Kansas City, Kansas, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, July 7th, surrounded by the love of her family, or as she liked to say, “My people”, at her home.

Geneva was born on February 17th, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas to Robert and Elsie Moseley.  She married Andrew Douglas Chase, Jr. on October 15th 1953, they were married for 62 years before his death in October, 2016.

Geneva and Doug had four daughters, Barbara Ham (Ron) of North Kansas City, Mo, Kathy Vogan and husband Gil Scholler of Wellsville, KS., Linda Dickerson (Steve) of Kansas City, MO., and Connie Brown (Mike) of Kansas City, KS.

Geneva had 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents (Robert and Elsie Moseley), her husband (Andrew Douglas Chase, Jr.), two brothers (Roy and Donnie Moseley), three grandchildren (Zachary Franklin, Samantha Vogan, and Anthony Scholler) and one son in law (Stephen Dickerson).

The family invites everyone to share in the love and memories of Geneva with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 at Porter Funeral Home at 1835 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City, KS with a service to follow at 11:00am.

Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice in Geneva's name.

I can’t express how I will miss you it still doesn’t feel real. My comfort is knowing that you are exactly where you want to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and having the grandest reunion with Daddy, Grandma & Grandpa Moseley, Donnie, Grandma & Grandpa Chase. I love you not to the moon and back now, but to heaven and back. It was and is a true privilege to be by your side as you left this world It seems right You were there when I entered this world, that I was there when you left. I vow to be the best daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandma I can be to make you proud. Until I see you again love you mama. Rest In Peace
