Jocelyn A. Vertz, 86, passed away at her home on June 26, 2019.  Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with the Funeral Mass following at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 8, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas.  Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Joyce was born in Sevastopol, Wisconsin and later moved to Kansas City, Kansas after her husband retired from the military.  She was strong willed and placed the love for her family, especially her five sons, above everything else. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard J. Vertz Sr. and one son, Richard J Vertz Jr.  Survivors include 1 sister, Karen Rae of Menasha Wisconsin, 1 brother Chris Demmin of Stur-   geon Bay, Wisconsin and her sons Randall (Debra), Christopher (Denise), Fritz (Susan) and Tobey (Gail). Joyce also had 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She may no longer be with us, but her love and devotion to her entire family will live in our hearts forever.
