CJ and I played sports together for many years. Before we started kindergarten, we were on the same soccer team, and moved on into baseball and basketball as the 80’s turned into the 90’s. I knew CJ also as we moved from being fellow schoolmates, to becoming young adults when our paths separated. CJ is one of the kindest and most caring people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I send my most sincere condolences Kaye and the family!!!! 2 Timothy 4:7-8

This news broke my heart. CJ was one of my favorite lunch buddies in high school. Every time I ran into him on the KU campus, he had the biggest smile and would tell me about his current gaming obsession ;). He had a huge heart and was always kind. I hope CJ’s family is surrounded by love and happy memories. I am so, so sorry.

I've known CJ since preschool. After college, our paths would still cross now and again. My heart breaks for your family's loss. CJ was such a kind, gentle man, and was always quick with a laugh and positive word. He is gone too soon, and will be missed.
