Vera Mae Winsky, passed away the morning of Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the age of 95. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, preceded by visitation starting at 9:30 am, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 West 71st Street Overland Park, KS 66204 on Wednesday, May 29. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery following the service and luncheon. Vera was born in Mount Vernon, Missouri to Rhoda and Wesley Rowe. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School. Vera worked alongside her husband Lawrence for 48 years in their own business, Westport Sheet Metal, Heating and Air Conditioning as the office manager and bookkeeper. Vera was an active member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was on and led several committees. She was a member and past president of the La Sertoma Club of Overland Park. Sertomans across the country are unified with a single purpose: serve our communities and improve the lives of those who need help.
Vera is survived by her two daughters, Anna Crocker and Debbie (John) Kornhaus; grandchildren, Lindsay Campbell-Reichel(Chris), Andrew Crocker, Ty (Katherine) Crocker, Ashley (Tyler) Sifers, Mallory (Andrew) Negley and great grandchildren Liam Campbell, Annabelle Crocker, Micah Crocker, Teo Crocker and Jack Sifers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, daughter Laureen, parents Rhoda and Wesley Rowe, brothers Ivan Victor Rowe, Wayne Rowe and Robert Rowe. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
