I am deeply sorry for your loss. I'm reaching out with some encouragement as I too have lost many loved ones in death, including an older sibling. It truly is the most heart-wrenching experience to go through. One thing that has helped me to cope many times is a promise made by Jesus Christ. He talked about a resurrection of the dead in a Paradise Earth where all of us will see our loved ones again! Jesus promises in John 5:28, 29: “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Another comforting Scripture, one of my personal favorites, is Revelation 21:4. It speaks of world conditions under God’s Kingdom rule. It says: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” A most reassuring promise indeed! I hope these verses comfort you as they have comforted me. My heart and prayers go out to you. We are forever changed. Our youngest family member Leo - so precious & cherished, loved, loved, loved. Our love for Leo is part of us always. Letting go is most difficult. Our little while together is so very hard to reconcile. Leo is with us now & forever even though absent from us physically. Going forward we will honor you Leo. Our Lord & Saviour has promised our eternity together. Leo is now representing us in heaven & we take comfort in that fact as in Philippians 3:20: "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ" Wherein is our faith, hope & love. We know we will meet again & so shall we be ever together.
