Ron Sterk, 81, of Shawnee, KS went to meet the Lord peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, 22 May 2019. He is survived by his wife of 41 years ,Dee Dee of the home; a sister, Marilyn Nastav (Stan) of Shawnee; 4 Children; Timothy Sterk of FL; Kelly Sheldon of AZ; Susie Bute of AZ; and Shannon Marks (Tom) of TX; 2 step-children; Brenda Thompson (George) of Lenexa; Russ Gillihan (Katy) of MO; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as many other cherished family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Max Sterk and Mary Bruenn Sterk.

Ron was an electrician employed by local 124 and was a member of the union for 60 years.

Services will be held on Wednesday, 29 May 2019 at Porter Funeral Home in Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM with a memorial service following at 2:00 PM.

Ron will be remembered fondly by his family members and of all of those whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends Memorial Donations to Asana Hospice, 9001 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64114.
