So very sorry, I enjoyed knowing Betty the last 50 years. Beginning with renting the house on Brenner Drive and she telling me the berries were hers and I shouldn’t pick them! 🙂 and later cutting her hair. My your memories bless you at this time.

so many memories of welborn animal hospital, and betty is a part of every one of them. let's face it, she helped raise me from a pup, with beth ann and vickie too. remembering brings such a bittersweet mix of laughter and tears. . . i am forever thankful for having doc and betty in my life.

We are sorry for your loss and grateful for all of the kindnesses Aunt Betty gave us as we were growing up. I especially remember the pencils engraved with my name and lots of cards with long, thoughtful notes inside. Andrew & Angela, Matt & Erica, Mark, Dino & I are sending a donation to the Historical Society of Stanley per Aunt Betty's request. We are happy to support a good cause that is tied to our family's roots.

I'm sorry for your loss. Mrs. Swanson was an important and influential leader during my time in Wyandotte County 4-H in the 1970's and 1980's. She was one of my early mentors in how to be an effective leader. Her lessons have served me well into adulthood. My condolences to Ginny, Dr. Swanson, and the rest of your family.

To all of the Swanson family, especially Doc Swanson and Jim, I always admired Mrs. Swanson as a mother and woman. I remember how she walked her brood to and from school, watchful along the busy 55th St. The time she gave volunteering at Christ the King School helped all of us at the school. She was an excellent role model for us. We will miss her at CTK. My sincerest sympathy at your loss.

Sorry I am just now getting this news. I am 73 now, but when I was young, she was a great support at a difficult time in my childhood. Joe too was a great support, but that feminine empathy was a life saver. Best wishes to all.
