Gayle Maxine Roth of Lenexa, Kansas died March 14th at Lakeview Village Care Center, surrounded by her family. Gayle was born on September 24, 1931 in Denver Colorado to Carl Granberg and Maxine Walgren Granberg. She moved to Kansas City, Kansas in the late 1940s, and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1949. She attended Kansas City, Kansas Junior College for two years, and then the University of Kansas, where she graduated in 1953 with a degree in education. There she resided at the Watkins Scholarship Hall, where residents were selected on the basis of scholarship, character and financial need. In 1953, she married Ronald Roth. Together they had two children. She was a long time member of the Village Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband Ron, her daughter Shirley Busche and her husband Jeff and two grandchildren Alex and Max and greatgranddaughter Layla, her son Brad and his wife Shirley and granddaughters Stephanie and Katherine, sister Christina Knopp, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gayle was a long-time volunteer at the Village Presbyterian Church Food Pantry. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the Food Pantry, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, April 29,2019 in the Heritage Activity Center, Lakeview Village, 9100 Park Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66215. Visitation is 10 - 11 am, and the service is at 11 am.
