Sorry to hear about Mike's passage. The short time we here in the Justice Department worked with him, I found him to be a hard worker and rather a kind individual. My condolences go out to his wife and family.

I met Mike briefly while working in DC. While still in the office, I suddenly realized my flight was about to board. It was my first week and I wasn't sure how to get to their airport. Mike overheard my exclamation, he came up to my cube and simply offered "follow me; we'll get there". Mike escorted me on the subway, navigating transfers, & teaching me shortcuts. We parted ways when he told me to go wait on the opposite side from him, it would be closest to my terminal to split up. I made my flight because if is help. Although we knew each other briefly - this memory I will never forget and have retold the story many times. I am thankful for having met Mike and having his assistance. A true Good Samaritan. Sincere condolences to his family and friends..

Mike and Susan, whenever I saw them at church were always kind and thoughtful and so very friendly. He was a help in the music ministry for a long time at Good Shepherd. He will be missed. I continue to pray for Susan and the entire family in their time of sorrow.
