     Rita Beggs, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Kansas City Hospice House.  Rita was very much loved by her family and many lifelong friends.  She was born in Kansas City and attended St. Teresa High School and the University of Kansas Where she met her husband of 42 years.  Rita loved being a mom and homemaker to two great children and grandma to five wonderful grandsons.  Her passion was caring for family and friends.  She enjoyed every day of life; always thought of other's needs and cherished spending time with her grandsons.  

Survived by her husband Mark, daughter Anna Knight and her husband Kipp, son Brian and his wife Carolyn along with five beautiful grandsons-Brandon, Kevin, Grayson, Austin, and Owen.  Also Surviving are her two brothers John and Tom Kramer, sister in laws Kristi and Mary along with many extended family members.

A Rosary will be prayed at 4:45 PM with a visitation following from 5-7:00 PM, March 8 at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia St., Lenexa, KS.  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 9, at Church of the Ascension, 9510 West 127th St., Overland Park,  KS. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the National Ataxia Foundation, 600 Highway 169 South, Suite, 1725, Minneapolis, MN 55426, naf@ataxia.org

Just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss of Rita...She seemed like a very loving, caring person that cared deeply for her family. I'm sure she developed that quality of putting others first through her love of something greater...God longs for the time when He will call her, and she will answer(John 5:28). I'm sure she would have loved the thought of living forever in a perfect paradise, together with her children and those 5 grandchildren. It's a promise you can put trust in-His plan for all humankind never changed...until that time, many thoughts and prayers for all who mourn Rita.
