The Eric (Hockersmith) Raven family wishes to expresses our deepest condolences to John and his children as Mary's loss. She was deeply loved by our own mother, Mary Hockersmith, who considered her a best friend. I still remember and appreciate Mary's genuine and enthusiastic support of my theater efforts in the Yeats plays I acted in back in the 1990's, and her kindness to us when our mother Mary was ill and had passed on. She was a lovely person. -- Kristin Raven and the Raven family

Mary was thoughtful, intelligent and elegant. It was always a pleasure to be in her presence especially at Friends of Jung events where I met her. Hearing of her passing gave me pause and just knowing that I will not be graced again with her beautiful smile is quite painful but not as painful as it must be for John and all of her family. Somewhere in the universe I am sure she is in deep discussion with Carl Jung.

I am saddened to hear of Mary’s death. She was a dear friend and a beautiful soul. We helped each other when we got homesick, were happy when each of our children were born and supported each other through some rough times in our lives. Happiness came when she married John and she loved him with all her heart. I am so great full to have had her as a wonderful friend.
