I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I personally know the loss of a loved one, and the pain can seem overwhelming. However, I found comfort in the Bible's promise for the future (Acts 24:15) I hope this helps bring some comfort in this time of sorrow.

Dear Rita: So sorry to learn of John's death. John was a senior at Rockhurst in my freshman year and I greatly admired him then for his great leadership skills. Some thirty years later then, he became my trusted friend and legal adviser during my eleven years as President of Donnelly College. He dying leaves a large void in the KCK community where he worked so tirelessly, enthusiastically and for so long to improve the lives of other people. What a guy!!!

Our condolences go out to Rita and the entire Jurcyk family. We were blessed to have gotten to know John through church, and it was a blessing to witness John's wisdom and wit. I will pray that God blesses the Jurcyk family with comfort at this time. I have great confidence that John is smiling down from heaven right now.

To Rita and family: Debbie and I share the feelings of loss of a great friend and fellow lawyer. John and I both started law practice in law firms in Kansas City, Kansas; and our friendship continued through our respective litigation practice. John and I, along with Ed Larson (retired justice of the Kansas Supreme Court), were inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers at its annual meeting in Atlanta in summer of 1983. And we were together on a number of occasions, up through our most recent contacts at the monthly meetings of the Inns of Court. John was a model of competence and integrity as a trial lawyer. And he has been a great friend. I will always cherish our friendship, full of good memories; and we extend our best wishes and prayers for all who will share the loss of this great man. Jerry Rushfelt.
