Frances Eileen Sandt, 92, Lenexa KS passed away November 14, 2018 at the Lakeview Village Care Center surrounded by her loving family. The visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 17, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Stone Chapel, 9130 Pflumm Rd., Lenexa KS with the Funeral Mass starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Shawnee KS. Frances was born May 10, 1926 in Kansas City KS where she had lived most of her life. She was a 1944 graduate of Bishop Ward High School and had worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years retiring in 1988. During this time she helped establish and worked in the family business, Sandt True Value Hardware while raising her six children. Frances was a devout Catholic and was currently a member of Holy Trinity. She loved traveling the world and enjoyed her music and dancing and introduced many family and friends to Glen Miller and Johnny Mathis. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers James and John Schuetz and her sister, Theresa Mamie. She is survived by 6 children and their spouses, Joan and Terry Hersperger, John and Mary Sandt, Jim and Roxanne Sandt, Janice Sandt and Vicki Miller, Jane and Curtis Alexander, Judy and Jerry Karlin, her brother, Vincent Schuetz, 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Frances' family would like to thank her devoted and special friend Catie Marsteller and the loving and caring staff at the Lakeview Village Care Center for all of the love and compassion they gave to Frances.
