Josephine A. Leonard, 87, of Kansas City, KS passed away November 4, 2018.  Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8 at Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave, KCK.  Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 9 Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene, 6200 Parallel Ave, KCK.  Interment is at Leavenworth National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Leap of Faith Learning via their website www.leapoffaithlearning.org. or contact the family.  

Ann was born October 27, 1931, the daughter of James A. and Ollie D. (Mathia) Turner, in Eudora, KS.  She grew up in and around Perry, Eudora and Lawrence area on the family farm.  Ann worked for the Kansas City, KS School District as a cook/baker.  She was known for her baked bread and rolls for years.  She married Ralph Leonard, November 18, 1951 and have been members of Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene for over 40 years; where Ann taught Sunday school and worked with missions.  Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, baking and cooking. 

Ann is preceded in death by her son, Ernie Leonard.  She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph Leonard; son, Andrew Leonard and wife Linda; daughter, Christine Herman and husband Kenneth; eight grandchildren and her loving great-grandchildren.  (Condolences may be expressed at:  www.porterfuneralhome.com   Arrangements:  Porter Funeral Home & Crematory, 1835 Minnesota Ave.  Kansas City, KS (913) 621-6400)
