Deborah Lee Burton 66, passed away October 27, 2018 at Olathe Hospice House after a short illness.  Debbie was born April 7, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri.  At the time of her birth, her father Delmar, was serving in Korea.  She lived with her mother, Glenna, and her maternal grandparents and 4 year old Aunt Liz until her father came home 10 months later.

Her family moved to the San Francisco bay area in 1956 with new brother Dan. She and her parents returned to the Kansas City area in 1983 and settled in Lenexa.

Deb loved to travel, reading, dancing, the color purple and snoopy. An innocent soul with many challenges, Debbie was lovingly supported by her parents and brother throughout her life.  Aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends rounded out her happy world and shared many good times in the Midwest and La Quinta, California in the winter.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Glenna Branstetter Burton, Maternal grandparents Mary and Glen Branstetter and paternal grandparents Helen Wood Burton and Delmar Burton.

Debbie is survived by her Father Delmar Burton (Susan Frost), Brother Dan (Katy), Nephews; Kendall Carew and Spencer Burton. Aunts; Elizabeth Thomas, Judy Borden, Lenore Kay (Bob) and Uncle Dan T. Burton (Michelle) along with many beloved cousins and friends.

A special thanks to the staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Olathe Hospice House for their care and help. Also, her Aunt Liz and Susan Frost for their tireless help and love.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Porter Funeral Home and Crematory, 8535 Monrovia Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66215.  Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service. Private burial was held at Floral Hills Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions are suggested to Olathe Hospice House at Olathe Health Charitable Foundation.  Doctors Building #1, 20375 W. 151 Street, Office 363, Olathe, Kansas, 66061.
