     Genevieve E. O'Halloran, 91, of Olathe, KS, formerly of Jefferson City, MO, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018.  Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 AM Wednesday, October 24th at the Church of the Ascension, 9510 West 127th Street, Overland Park, KS followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.  Graveside services will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Jefferson City, MO.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas.

     Genevieve was born November 11, 1926, in Salida, CO.  She was a lifelong educator, and retired from the Jefferson City Public Schools as the Coordinator of Elementary School Libraries.  She had lived at Santa Marta Retirement Community the last 10 years.  Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Charles O'Halloran, parents Joseph and Florence Miller, brother Tevis Miller and sister Loretta Miller.  She is survived by her children Paul O’Halloran (Amy Neigeborn) of Glen Ridge, NJ, Joanie (Evan) James of Overland Park, KS, Hugh (Julie) O'Halloran of Jackson, WY, and grandchildren Hannah, Emily, Katie and Kelsey.

So many memories of our times at the Board Office of the JCPS. Genevieve was a gracious, soft-spoken lady who handled difficulties with patience and tact. May the Lord comfort and strengthen the family during this time of loss.
